— about us

Eclipse Yoga was founded by Stephanie Pacheco-Nunes as a boutique yoga studio offering hot, warm and unheated classes with something to suit all levels of experience. Our smaller size allows for an individualised approach and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Doors open 10-15 minutes before class. We suggest arriving at least 5 minutes prior to the start of class; for security reasons, doors are locked a few minutes before each class begins. There is space to get changed and showers within our sauna room.

We have a retail sections which includes mat towels, eco yoga mats by E Rose Art, handmade and recycled jewellery by Ochre, beautiful locally-made scented candles by Etikette, consciously blended herbal teas by Gaia Botanica, and handmade pottery.

our heaters

Our studio uses far-infrared radiant heating technology, which is widely considered to be the best method of heating for hot yoga studios. Highly efficient, radiant heat warms the objects in the room instead of the air. The type of heat is likened to the warmth of the sun (minus the UV rays, of course!), as opposed to the drying feeling of warm air or the discomfort of regular bar heaters. The warmth penetrates the muscles to warm you up from the core (helping you to stretch) and is considered by many to assist with detoxification.

This heating technique is also used in our infrared sauna which provides a more comfortable experience than traditional steam saunas. Infrared saunas are recommended to be used at a lower heat for a longer period to experience the full benefits.
